Answers to some of your biggest questions about the Udderlicious franchise

January may not be everyone’s favourite month, but there’s always plenty to be happy about down at the local Udderlicious! Customers know there are always new flavours and recipes to try each month, and January is no exception. This time, we’re excited to feature some udderly-delicious vegan options: Chocolate Banana Bread, Rhubarb & Blueberry Crumble, and Hazelnut Praline!

Udderlicious only launched as a franchise a few months ago but, since then, we’ve been inundated with enquiries from people looking to create their own unique ice cream boutique in their community.

The Udderlicious franchise website is a great source of information and, of course, you are very welcome to ask me about anything to do with this opportunity. However, some key questions keep coming up in my conversations, so I’d like to try and answer some of the biggies here for you now:

1) Where’s the best place to open my own Udderlicious?

The Udderlicious franchise is designed to work in any location with decent footfall, and we’re confident it can be a success in any town or city in the UK. However, we’ve identified 10 locations in the capital which we consider to have exceptional potential for a new store:

  • Carnaby/Soho
  • Camden
  • Notting Hill
  • Primrose Hill
  • Shoreditch
  • Marylebone
  • South Kensington/Knightsbridge
  • Spitalfields
  • Belgravia
  • West End

So, if you live in or around these areas, or already know of a great location near you, we’d especially like to hear from you.

Want to open a store outside London? Then, you should still get in touch!

The Udderlicious team just knows these locations particularly well, but are still keen to hear from anyone anywhere in the UK whose local community is just crying out for some extra, sweet delicious joy in their lives!

2) How much does it cost to set-up my new store?

As you may have read on the investment page on their website, the franchise fee for partnering with Udderlicious is £20,000 (plus VAT). However, you also need to think about leasing and outfitting your store, of course. The exact costs will vary depending on your location and local costs but, based on existing stores, we estimate that to be a little over £120k.

So, how have we worked that out? Here’s a breakdown of the costs:
